A board level director, Naomi joined Axis in 2013 after holding various positions across EMEA and the UK.
With over 15 years’ experience, Naomi is the driving force behind the Axis Academy and has overall responsibility for Learning and Development.
Additionally, Naomi is responsible for the entire HR function, including recruitment, vetting and screening and employee relations.
Duaine Taylor, Head of Learning and Development
Duaine joined Axis in 2014 after 10 years of working within the commercial training market both throughout the UK and abroad, during which time he was also actively involved within the private security industry operationally working within security, medical and safety roles at high levels.
Prior to this Duaine enjoyed a successful career in the British Army.
Duaine is strategically and operationally responsible for the day to day running of the Axis Academy, but as he has a great love of teaching he can often be found in a classroom delivering training.
Peter Morris, Lead Trainer
Peter holds several teaching qualifications and a Masters degree in Security Management. A former Metropolitan Police detective, Peter joined the private security industry in 1999 and has a strong operational security background. He has also worked in the leisure industry and has considerable experience of delivering exceptional customer service. Having done many of the roles that he delivers training to, a key strength Peter brings to the team is the ability to communicate and deliver relevant training at all levels.
Chiara Di Rienzo, L&D Front of House Specialist
Chiara has over 17 years’ experience in front of house operations management in five star hotel and corporate environments. She has a Psychology and Pedagogy Diploma and is also a coach and Master Practitioner. She is an L&D specialist and is CIPD qualified.
John Sephton, Security Manager
John joined Axis Security in 2012 after holding various management positions in London working for various blue chip, retail and educational institutes. John has over 17 years operational experience and recently completed his Bsc (Hons) Risk and Security Management at Portsmouth University.
John currently manages a team of 16 at a high profile building in the city. On behalf of his clients he has written and delivered training in Security management, emergency procedures and business continuity.
Tracey Hammond, Health & Safety Manager
Tracey joined Axis in November 2015 after a 30 year career in law enforcement. During her service she was one of the first police officers in the country to become a workplace health and safety (union) representative, when safety legislation was introduced into the service.
Tracey is passionate about safety at work and holds a NEBOSH qualification at diploma level.. She worked on many national projects including the introduction of body armour, airwave radios, custody block safety and was on the police health, safety and welfare cadre during the London Olympics
Steve Rex, Tech IOSH, QSHE & Compliance Manager
Since 2003 Steve has developed extensive experience with managing FM soft-services across the professional services industry. In addition to his operational experience in a role which incorporates the compliance of Quality Standards and Health and Safety activities he holds a number of advanced professional qualifications.
Steve was welcomed by AXIS in January 2016 and is responsible for the management of our ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 Standards.
Nimesh Amin, Business Systems Manager
Nimesh has worked with Axis for the past 5 years, since graduating from City University with a degree in Mathematics. Having progressed through a variety of positions, Nimesh’s current role is a Business Systems Manager. He provides technical support to both the Head of Learning and Development and to employees using Acumen, one of the Axis Academy’s online training tools. Nimesh has responsibility for extracting, analysing and interpreting data that assists The Axis Academy in delivering the courses and learning experiences that customers and clients want.
Nick Barnwell, JCB Contract Manager
Nick joined Axis in 2014 after holding various management positions in Facilities and cleaning across the UK.
Nick has over 17 years leadership and management experience. He is currently responsible for a diverse set of contracts including the JCB portfolio.
Alina Cartas, Group Marketing Manager
Alina supported, advised and guided the team in setting up The Axis Academy’s marketing and branding. A marketing professional, Alina has responsibility for all the marketing activities for Axis Group, she therefore brings considerable well rounded experience to supporting the Axis Academy. Alina is excited to be part of this journey and grow the business into a success.
