The Axis Academy offers a range of SIA licence linked courses within the key areas of the private security industry.

Security Course List

Our SIA licence linked courses are all nationally approved through Highfield Awarding Body of Compliance (HABC), on successful completion of one of our courses candidates will be able to apply for their SIA licence.

The courses we offer allow staff to work in a number of security roles including those who may be required to work within licenced venues or within CCTV control rooms, through to those who may provide manned security on non-licenced premises whether static or mobile.

CCTV Operator

This qualification is designed for those that require a licence from the SIA to work as a CCTV Operator within the Private Security Industry. On successful completion of this course candidates will be eligible to apply for a SIA Licence *subject to a DBS check*.

Course length: 4 days

Individual cost: £250

Duaine Taylor

Duaine has worked for Axis for 5 years and has been in the security, medical and training industry since 2005 after leaving the British Army. Duaine teaches a variety of subjects in an array of fields including mental health first aid.

Paul spent 19 years in the NHS in a facilities management position before specialising in food safety and compliance for three large hospitals. Paul has a wealth of cleaning, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Food Safety knowledge along with Customer Service skills.

Russell has been in the training industry for over 20 years after a 12-year career in the British Army. Russell specialises in First Aid training and has delivered training to Greater Manchester Police along with many Hospital Trusts in the North.
