Mental Health First Aid Training Courses

The Axis Academy offers a range of bespoke mental health first aid courses.

Mental Health Course List

Did you know approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year and in England, 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression) in any given week?

We provide a suite of first aid for mental health courses that range from awareness to supervising mental health first aid in the workplace.

Understanding more about mental health in the workplace can help us reduce the stigma associated to mental health and give staff the required knowledge and skills to recognise signs and symptoms of a mental health condition starting before starting that difficult conversation and proving the necessary signposting.

First Aid for Mental Health Awareness - Level 1

This half-day course gives learners an insight to what mental health is, and is designed to increase awareness around mental health conditions and the stigma attached to these, along with the knowledge to start a conversation with someone.

Course length: 1/2 day

Individual cost: £90

First Aid for Mental Health - Level 2

This 1-day course covers the content of the Level 1 course but also expands on the effects of drugs and alcohol, incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan and covers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within a workplace.

Course length: 1 day

Individual cost: £125

Supervising First Aid for Mental Health - Level 3

This 2-day course goes into detail on a wide range of mental health conditions and the support and help provided by healthcare professionals. It covers the content of both the Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications but is aimed at both supervisors and manager levels within the workplace.

Course length: 12 hours spread over 2 days

Individual cost: £225
