Axis Academy has made the finals of the 2020 Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) in the ‘Security Training Initiative’ category for it’s ‘Mental Health First Aid Course’

The Axis Academy’s range of Mental Health First Aid courses aims to raise awareness of mental health in the workplace. The training courses help equip key members of staff with the required knowledge and skills to act as workplace mental health first aiders.

The Academy’s suite of mental health first aid courses include:

Level 1, half-day Mental Health Awareness course has been CPD approved. This course is aimed at all employees in the workplace to provide awareness and education on mental health and the stigma attached to mental illness in the workplace.

Level 2, full-day First Aid for Mental Health course has also gained CPD approval. The training course covers Level 1 topics but also introduces learners to the first aid action plan for mental health; enabling them to become Mental Health First Aiders in the workplace.

The Level 3, two-day Supervising Mental Health First Aid course is RQF regulated and expands on all topics covered in Levels 1 and 2 but goes into greater depth around mental health conditions.

Congratulations to all the finalists, including Axis Security, who have been shortlisted in the ‘Outstanding Contract Security Company’ category.

Winners will be revealed on the 26th February 2020 at the Royal Lancaster London.
